Computer Browser vs. Phone App

You can look at VUE Student in two different ways, and both are great for different reasons.

On a Computer Browser (like Google Chrome or Safari): This is the best way to use StudentVUE when you need to do something important. A computer screen is big. It is much easier to read a long report card, look at a calendar for the whole month, or pick your classes for next year on a big screen.
On a Mobile App (on an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone): You can download the VUE Student app for free. This is great for checking grades while riding the bus or walking home. How to Log In Securely

StudentsVUE holds very private information. It has your home address, your birthday, and all your grades. Because of this, it is locked up very tight. You need a special key to get in.

For Students (The “Magic Link” Method): Most schools use something called Single Sign-On (or SSO). This sounds complicated, but it’s actually super easy. It means if you are already logged into your school-provided Chromebook with your school email address, you don’t need a password! Missing (Usually a Red flag or red text): This is the most dangerous thing in StudentVUE! A red missing flag means the teacher looked in the turn-in basket, and your paper wasn’t there. It counts as a giant ZERO. A zero drops your grade faster than anything else. If you see a red missing flag, you need to find that paper and turn it in as fast as you can.
Absent (Usually a Yellow flag): This means the teacher knows you were sick or at the doctor that day. The teacher put this flag here to remind you that you still need to do the work, but they aren’t giving you a zero yet. Usually, you have two or three days to make up the work.
